Why have Janna and I chosen to go on this trip?  There are two main reasons.  First, as Loving Hands Ministry reports on its website, “On January 12, 2010 the small country of Haiti was struck by a devastating earthquake.  Millions of Haitian people are now displaced left with no choice but to live on the streets or in open fields.  Hundreds of thousands of people still have not received any aid.  You can make a difference. You can save a life.”  We want to help make a difference and possibly save a life.

Second, Janna and I celebrated our 10^th Wedding Anniversary this past July.  Since God has always been the foundation of our relationship and has richly blessed us in many ways we felt compelled to find a way to give back to him.  Rather than exchanging gifts, taking an extended vacation, or doing something for ourselves, we decided to step outside of our comfort zone and follow the call to help rebuild Haiti.  We hope to leave a long-term impact during our short-term visit.

Janna and I believe no great work of God can be accomplished without the prayers of his people.  You have the opportunity to join us in impacting the people of Haiti by becoming a member of our prayer team.  We are not looking for people to pray “here and there” but rather for those willing to go to the throne room of God on our behalf for an extended period of time everyday from October 1st-28th (4 weeks).  This is a sizable commitment and not one to be taken lightly.  Click Here to join our prayer team.
