The Tyson Family

I’d like to take a moment to introduce my family. Janna and I have been married for 5 1/2 years (July 28, 2001). We lived in Hillsdale, Michigan for one year before moving to Charlotte. Janna graduated from Michigan State University with a teaching degree in Child Development. She now makes about $160,000/year as a stay-at-home mom (at least that is what she should be making given all the jobs she has). Favorite foods: chocolate milk shakes and peanut butter.

Shea Curtis was born on January 8, 2003. He definitely has a passion for sports (just like me). He also enjoys reading books, playing games, putting together puzzles and making crafts. Of course, as a boy, smashing, throwing and breaking things tends to factor into his daily routine. Shea currently attends pre-school 2 days/week and loves every minute of it.

Aubrey Faith was born on March 8, 2004 – exactly 14 months after her older brother. We call her “Faithy”. Originally, we were going to name her Faith Aubrey Tyson but noticed her initials would be FAT (not so good for a girl). She plays “house” with anything and everything. Just yesterday I heard her calling Shea’s matchbox cars “mommy” and “daddy”. Faith has long blonde hair (long for a 2 1/2 year old anyway) and a beautiful smile.

Kaleigh Rose was born on April 8, 2006 (notice the 8th theme). She has big blue eyes and watches everything (especially her big brother). She started crawling and standing around Thanksgiving. Yesterday she began waiving goodbye. We can’t help but laugh at what I call Kaleigh’s “machine gun” giggle.

Our prayer is to have a fourth child sometime in the near future…
